Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a respected boutique litigation firm in Irvine to find an experienced Litigation Secretary to support a busy and sophisticated litigation practice. Responsibilities

  • Draft, revise, format, and proofread litigation documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
  • File documents electronically in California state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with all court rules and deadlines
  • Maintain and manage attorney calendars, including hearings, deadlines, and court appearances
  • Track litigation deadlines and assist with discovery coordination and service of process
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
  • Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, and binders as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys and the litigation team

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation secretary or legal assistant in a law firm
  • Strong working knowledge of California civil litigation and court procedures
  • Experience with state and federal e-filing systems (including CM/ECF)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Professional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in a boutique or mid-sized litigation firm
  • Familiarity with Orange County courts
  • Trial or arbitration support experience
